Wordless Wednesday: Cat in Hat

Last time, it was cat-sized pink doll hats. This time, it's a pop-up blue top hat, bigger than the poor cat. Stay tuned, I'm sure there are more hats in this cat's future.

Wordless Wednesday: Cats in Hats

Actually it's one cat in two different hats, which is what happens when you're the docile cat and your eight year old owner has commandeered the camera.

Wordless Wednesday: Photo Shoot

Bash Bish mosaic

I was calling out to her "think about your teacher, think about me, think about your cats" - she hammed it up all the way through.

Later, she got bored.

And why yes, she was out in the woods in a purple skirt, pink tights and hiking boots.

Wordless Wednesday: Spiderweb

(Don't embiggen the picture, it's not a very good picture, because I took it outside at night with my cellphone. But as we were sitting on the deck eating dinner one night, the outdoor light with the motion-sensor came on, for reasons unknown, and bang, the spiderweb was all lit up. If the light hadn't turned on just like that, we'd have missed the spiderweb. And it was huge, and its spider was in the middle of it, and I didn't even think to go looking for the actual camera, not that it's all that much better than the cellphone camera, because what if, I don't know, something happened and I missed it?)

Wordless Wednesday: Cat Scan

As soon as humanly possible after my sister sent me a link to a Tumblr of cat scans, I scanned the cat.

Cat Scan

You're welcome.

Wordless Wednesday: Forget Me Not

More crack plants. The white forget-me-nots will not be forgotten, because they have self-sown everywhere. And once upon a time, I planted Heavenly Blue morning glories - they will be glorious again, but no longer heavenly blue. Every year, they come back smaller and more purple, some hybridization genetics thing at work.

Yeah. This is what I find on the coffee table. The Pollys got new hats.

Whimsical Wednesday: Arch

One of the little pleasures in my work is that I occasionally get to go to meetings at the old Tweed Courthouse, which is not generally open to the public. It's a grand building. While waiting one day, I amused myself with Hipstamatic.

That's a huge sculpture by Roy Lichtenstein running up through the middle of the Italianate-style atrium.
