Meatl Prots

I can't stop saying Meatl Prots. I think it's my new favorite expression. Maybe I'll start shouting it out the car window when teenagers fail to yield, and muttering it under my breath at slobs who put their feet on the seats on the train. Meatl Prots.

I get that meatl = metal, but prots has me stumped. (Although I am sure I will be saying it all day now too.)

prots=posts?

Gotta love when the directions are written in "English," eh? If I were the boss of that translater, I would yell at him/her "meatl prots!!!" and then fire him/her. Translate that!

Meatl prots are the fasteners in the knock-down bench I bought and put together so that I could have somewhere to sit in the garage when I need to take off my muddy boots. Needless to say, the bench was made in China.

But do you say "meat-l" or "mee-at-l?" Inquiring minds need to know!

Meatl, rhymes with beetle. :)
