Differently Invasive Gallbladder Surgery

"Doctors in New York have removed a woman's gallbladder with instruments passed through her vagina."

Having just had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically, I read this article in horrified fascination. On the one hand, I am repulsed - on the other, hey, maybe I would have felt better more quickly. But really? Eww. Going through the vagina to get to an organ up by the ribcage seems invasive, cumbersome, and somehow violating.

Err not to be TMI but having had errr procedures both ways, ummm, not sying one is better than the other but I actually found the umm more invasive less troublesome.

And not to be too wackadoo but I also found eating macrobiotic vegan two days before surgery to be best. Just sayin'.

Jeez. Maybe if you were asleep or something? And maybe hummed a little tune for the day before, thinking about something else?

I had quite a few stints put between my kidney & bladder, I'll let you guess how they got in there. Putting them in took 22 minutes. Pulling them out took 20 seconds. I've still got one around here somewheres ...
