Friday Funny

Yesterday morning, the child woke up and the first words out of her mouth were "What for you bury me in the cold, cold ground?" It still makes me laugh. She says it with an accent, just like the Tasmanian Devil does. Do your kids watch Looney Tunes? They should. Here's Devil May Hare:

If that doesn't do it for you and you need bloggity funny, go read I Need a Martini Mom, a post that I nominated for an October ROFL award.

And if that's not funny? Tell me a joke, 'cause I'm out of funny.

Heh. Red likes to yell the Daffy line a lot: "Makeup!" Especially when I go into the bathroom to apply mine.

Here's a funny scene from breakfast. Curious Girl has the president placemat, and she's been talking about how we'll need a new one with Barack Obama on it. "Can I write a letter to President Bush again?" sure, I told her. "no! He might not listen to it," she said impishly. "Can I write one to Barack Obama when he is President?" of course. "I could say GO OBAMA GO OBAMA GO OBAMA (etc. etc. etc.) all the way down the page, and then write Love, CUrious Girl. And then when he gets it, he will say "huh. That's weird. Who wrote that? Oh, Curious Girl. She's so funny. ANd then he'll say "Wife! Come here and look at this." [I interrupt to remind her the name is Michelle.] " And then Michelle will say, "hmm, what is that laughing? Is that Barack, or is it the girls? I'll go check....no it's not the girls. Oh, nothing, girls, I was just wondering. Oh, there you are Barack." And then Barack will say to her, "look at this letter I got," and she will say "that's so funny!" and they will laugh together and then he will send me a picture.

Maybe you had to be there, but it was darned funny at breakfast.

Classic. I adore your kid.

I've got to find some Looney Tunes for Z someday.

I don't know, it used to be Bugs Bunny every Sunday night at 6 pm. You know, remember way back when you had to wait for the cartoons not just turn to a cartoon network? Well, I remember enjoying that time because I had little choice. Now though, there's something so sad about Bugs that I just can't tolerate.

Jokes - me? None. Give me a drink though and I'm the joke!

My son LOVES Looney Tunes - even more than Power Rangers and Ben 10, so that's saying something!

looney tunes are great! we always adored the wabbit of seville, too. i swear, my kids got a [somewhat skewed, but useful] introductory classical education just from the LT classics.

Still love Looney Toons...wish my kids would trade in Spongebob for the road runner.
