Wardrobe Wednesday

Bottom to top:
Brown cotton tights.
Pink striped shorts.
Black camisole pulled way down.
Pale blue embellished cardigan.

She wore this to school with black patent leather maryjanes.

She is nothing if not idiosyncratic.

(Wardrobe Wednesday filched from Heathen Family Revival.)

She looks awesome! And I swear, I just saw some model wearing that exact outfit in the West Village. Your daughter and my daughter can run a fashion empire someday.

So great of you to let her discover her own style and fashion sense. Although I must warn you, I also did this and now my daughter has blue hair! Just be forewarned!

I love it!

And she has a black camisole? I don't think I had one until college. Kids are so much more sophisticated these days.

I dig it. If my kid ends up with blue hair, I'll be proud. Because, better hers than mine.

Got to love the free fashion choices. I know I have no sense of style so my 6 year old is allowed to chose for herself as well. The secretaries and teachers wait in the hall each day to see what she will show up in. My theory is that some day there will be a battle I want to win, this is not even close to being one of them.

Oy. The fashion sense in my household is keelling me these days. Polka dot shirts with velour floral pants. The eyes. They hurt.

I would totally wear that outfit. No, seriously, I would.

I LOVE that you let her go to school dressed like that! She's fabulous.

So subdued in her color choices! My almost-4-year-old today: rainbow striped dress, pink and orange flowered pants, blue socks with yellow dots. Equally fabulous.

confirming what I already knew about style: some have it, some don't. I don't, she does.

From "across the pond"...... she's "you" and, actually, you are (justifiably) proud, (and so you should be). The girl has attitude......... she needs to have it in this day and age.... go girls (yes "girls".... both of you!)x

Look how proud & confident she is! Awesome!

That's truly fabulous that you let her have her own sense of style. The first time I tried to pick out my own clothes my mother wouldn't talk to me (sad but true).

And it really shows that she feels good about her (eclectic) selection.

She's a gal ahead of her time. I love her unique style! It totally reminds me of something my Liv would pick out for herself.

You forgot the accessories--they look totally coordinated with the look.

My kids wear uniforms. What a drag.

You forgot the one thing that makes that outfit pop - the attitude! Sassy little thing, your girl - were I her teacher, I bet she'd be a favorite.

Are you saving up her bail money yet?
I'd recommend the same bank I'm using for JR's :D

Do you ever look at her and wonder what planet your REAL baby is on? Or if the elves have her?

(Though JR's reply to that sort of question of her origin was "On Planet Smellaphant!")

Idiosyncratic and fashionable! It's so cool to see a girlie with such a strong and fun sense of self.
