Graces #13-25 = Thirteen Graces

  1. Mail order coffee on auto-delivery.
  2. The fact that my bluetooth headset never seems to need to be charged.
  3. Grapefruit cologne.
  4. When strangers pronounce my last name correctly.
  5. Aglaia.
  6. Euphrosyne.
  7. Thalia.
  8. Introducing the child to Bringing Up Baby, a movie with dinosaurs AND sharp-toothed animals, not to mention Katharine Hepburn.
  9. The smell of warm rain on wet grass.
  10. A job where I need not wear shoes in the office.
  11. Picking arugula that I grew myself.
  12. Mock Sancerre.
  13. Internet friends who turn into real life friends, and take pictures of your childhood.

You guys watching Bringing up Baby. Oh god, Katharine Hepburn in that! Lawd, lawd! We sure have lost something in this world.

Numbers 17-19 cracked me up, but #20 is my favorite. What could be better than dinosaurs AND sharp-toothed creatures AND Hepburn?

I just want to crawl into that house and live there.

Bringing up Baby. What is better than Cary Grant and Hepburn? Not much.

Oh my god, that house. I'm speechless. It's perfect.

Also, does your last name rhyme with "fist"? I used to know someone with that last name.

I love the scent of grapefruit.
We're looking forward to watching Robin Hood with the kids. Thanks for this suggestion, too.
I had home-grown arugula in my salad last night. Not enough of it! It's my favorite salad green.
Moki's house is beyond what I imagined.

oh, maggie. your mom had such a wonderful treasure-house! there is some fabric in the very last photo, a dusty-rose print on the seat of the chair, that i used for curtains in our very first house.

Oh, Magpie. That house. It was breathtaking. I am beyond charmed. I think I fell in love with it, and with Moki.

OMG! Amazing house! Need to spend more time with the pictures.

I love all of these, but will comment on #14. When I got one (strictly for talking while driving), I asked my coworker if I looked stupid. She said "you just look like everybody else." Eek. Mine always seems to be uncharged, too.

Yay! I thought I was the only one who liked to wander around the office barefoot.
