Snow Day!

It's beautiful out, and there's no school, and I didn't try to slog my way into the city, and the kid had a playdate here this morning, and is over at the other kid's house now, (because we've discovered the joys of playdates with the other only child first grader who lives around the corner), and I had tomato soup for lunch, and the power hasn't gone out, and there's no place we need to be. Oh, and there are harvested icicles in my freezer.

The only foreseeable flaws are that we are short on wine and firewood, which will be tragic if the power does go out.

Beautiful! I loved days like that as a kid. I too trekked in boots and hats and mittens and snow pants back and forth between neighbors-with-kids homes. I think I was in search of the best Hot Chocolate.

We're only about 45 minutes north of you and we only have about 2-inches. Big bummer!

Unreal. CT has a dome over it or something. There is zero snow here.

Gorgeous. We are lucky to have kids AJ's age both next door and across the street and the best sledding hill in the county within shouting distance of the house. This is a great place for snow days. But for all the snow we've had this year, we've only had one.

I could be there in 2 hours with a case of wine! It's pretty here too, but rivers of water on every corner.

I love those playdates that just keep going. Our kid disappeared for about nine hours last Sunday.

I miss snow days. Don't miss shoveling, driving in the mess, traffic caused by it, but just go back to bed, sleep late, wear pj's til noon snow days.

Enjoy!

Yeah, we have that problem. No power. No firewood.
