Snowing in Manhattan

The Union Square Greenmarket is up and running, though the snow is blowing under the tents and onto the produce.

And the rooftops out my office window are perfectly lovely.

Rooftops

How is it in your neck of the woods?

Ten more inches. Going to my cave now.

In our neck of the woods it is thawing, overcasy, no precipitate activity at all.

a little foggy here...no snow yet, knock on wood! Both shots are pretty, particularly love the rooftops! Imagine being able to sit out there in the morning (when it's warm) drinking your coffee?

Nice photos.
The same snow is heading our way this afternoon. Our mailbox should be buried after this one...

Cold, blustery and flurrying here, but nothing too serious yet.

I was out on a job when I checked my email, saw that the kids were getting dismissed at noon, and had to hightail it back home. The snow stopped by the time i got to them and we're in a lull. They're predicting another 6 - 12". If school is cancelled, my son will miss his first ever field trip.

I'm kind of bummed because I'm finally feeling pretty good (physically and mentally) and need to busy myself outside of the house in order to fully regain myself.

It's slushy here. But school is canceled, for no discernible good reason.

snow falling on the birch trees in the enclosed court yard makes work very relaxing (for a change).

Gray and dark and about to rain. But the rain will turn to heavy snow--our first real storm of the season.

I am going to have a short and potentially hellish commute home, but am looking forward to a probably snow day tomorrow.

That last is a lovely shot. Out your office window?

76 and a bit breezy. Going for a bike ride in a bit. We don't, however, have a cool Greenmarket like that.

Warming up. We got up to -5ºC today, a far cry from the -34ºC registered on the outdoor thermometer on Monday morning.
The last snow, however, is lying and this, according to an ancient and weather wise neighbour, means more to come.
Oh, goodie. Winter in eastern Ontario is sometimes too much.

COLD!

But no new snow. Just the old stuff, upon which more than one homeowner has spray-painted "GO PACK GO."

It's been a balmy few days here in Northern California. I know I'll regret this spring break as soon as the chill (40 degrees) and rain come back.

We've gotten more than the one inch they predicted for this morning. Not good since the piles at the end of my driveway are more like mountains. I'm not sure I'll be able to get my shovel up high enough when I'm clearing this new stuff.

But it's pretty for now. And will eventually melt into spring. Right?

Beautiful shots! You are in New York now? I can't wait to read more about your life. I hope all is well and hey, I don't blame you for ignoring those crazy review people. I like reviews like the next gal, but sometimes it's just too much. Where does it stop?

I had a baby on Tuesday...umm...there's an outside? And weather?? Umm...yeah...about that...

Shade and Sweetwater,

I'm not going to answer that on grounds it may cause an anger uprising in points North and East.

(I will say, however, that I miss snow)
