Suger and Tomatos

Someone sent me a slightly treacly set of questions with answers from alleged second graders. I put the questions to my kid, and she stabbed me in the heart.

But have it be known that I am made of sugar and tomatoes!

My kids would answer the last 2 questions the same way. Ouch.

Not sure what I'm made of, though! Love that answer!

Oh, ouch. But that's because of the major imbalance. if you both worked...

My daughter did something similar once and, according to her, what I do in my spare time is "eat potato chips and read." My husband's response? "You got off lucky."

You know, I _am_ home and my kids might answer those last two questions the same. I know, no comfort in that. But they would DEVOUR us if they could, which is actually sort of heart-warming (if also a little scary).

Sugar and tomatoes -- yum!

I love the sugar and tomatoes thing. That's perfect. And don't worry about the work stuff. Clearly she has a lot of love in her life and is doing all right. :)

Awww. It is good to be loved so much, even if it does come with a side order of guilt.

I love that she thinks of you sitting around in your spare time, just LOVING her as hard as you can. That's a child who knows she is beloved.
