No, really, I was...

Another link I got from my book-loving sister-in-law was this, which led to this, which led to a constant gazing at our bookshelves to see what fabulous tales would jump out of the titles.

Really, before lunch, I was running around in flight goggles, acting like a grownup.

Fear not, gentle readers, there will be more of these. There will. And some of them, I feel sure, will come from your shelves. Tell me what you find.

I love this. I'll see what I can come up with at home.

That is so cool. I want to do this. (Can't say whether I'll find the time, though...I have such a backlog of things I want to do.)

My favorite (from the second link you posted) was the "primitive art" one.

This also reminds me of a playlist I put together a while back. Half the song titles were questions, and the other half answers. The pair I can remember at this point is The Pixies' "Is She Weird?" followed by The Beatles' "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window."

Waaaay too much fun. But it's a shame I took a whole bunch of books to the used book store on Monday, I could have done some serious damage then.

Very cool! I liked this so much I immediately set to action and put my own stack together. I'll never look at my bookshelf the same way again.

A blogger I enjoy (writing from on Mersea Island in the UK) has been having lots of fun with this. Click here to see what she's come up with.

And here's some truly ludicrous bookshelf-related nonsense from the fabulous Book Patrol blog.

Hi - thanks for the link to Musings from a Muddy Island. Love you Musings (and your out of control blogroll - brilliant!). If you or your readers come up with any more 'stories', do please leave a link here: http://julietdoyle.blogspot.com/2008/10/musings-sorted-book-challenge.html. I'm running a little competition to see who can come up with the most original/witty/amusing. (With prizes!!)
