I should have counted. On the train home yesterday, it seemed like every other person - male and female - was wearing a blue and white checked shirt. Or blue and white plaid. With a couple of blue and white striped shirts for good measure. Thin stripes, pale blues, vibrant checks, navy blues. A sea of blue and white.
It's like someone decided it was the summer uniform, and everyone complied.

Oh good! My memo circulated. I just bought a blue & white striped bathing suit.
It's a good summer uniform--crisp in all this heat.
One time, about 25 years ago, I bought a blue and white striped bathing suit, which I thought was totally unique. Then I got to the beach and it was as if every woman had bought the same bathing suit. I kept seeing it everywhere.
I did NOT get that memo.
I've got on a lime green shirt. But then, this ain't New York.
And what were YOU wearing?
Both are good summer uniform. But, I will prefer Black one.
